What does Physical Rehabilitation do?

Physical rehabilitation helps increase the patient’s strength and mobility, decrease pain, aid in their proprioception (awareness of foot placement) and increase overall well-being. Physical rehabilitation is extremely important for a quicker recovery for post-operative patients. This is especially vital for patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Studies have shown that physical rehab can help speed the return to function approximately 50% faster than without rehab, and help reduce the severe muscle loss during post surgery.
